The Post-Haste Performance Toyota Aristo #PHPJZS147 gets an ECUMasters EMU Standalone Engine Management System! Since our last Fuel System upgrades on our PHP Aristo we had to find an Engine Management solution. This wasn’t as easy as it could have been due to the Aristo having an Electronically controlled Automatic Transmission. Toyota had bundled both Engine and Transmission computers into the same ECU which complicated matters. Our solution was to run a Standalone Engine Management ECU wired in “Parallel Mode”. Our 1995 Aristo is powered with Toyota’s very popular 2JZ-GTE Inline 6 Twin Turbo Charged engine. When we purchased the car it already had a Garrett T67 (T40R) Single Turbo conversion, a Front Mounted Intercooler and full 3″ Turbo Back Exhaust. Unfortunately the Fuel System was stock, as was the engine management.
